Degrees to Radians Converter
The angle 180° is equivalent to \(\pi\) radians and angle of 1 rad is equivalent to 57.29577°.
$$ 1 [rad] = \frac{180°}{\pi} = 57.29577°$$
Generally, the angle \(\alpha\) in degrees is equal to the angle \(\alpha\) in radians multiplied by 180° and divided by \(\pi\).The previous statement can be written in the following form:
$$\alpha_{degrees} = \frac{\alpha_{radians}\times 180°}{\pi}$$
Example 1
Convert \(\frac{\pi}{6}\) radians to degrees. $$\alpha_{degrees} = \frac{\frac{\pi}{6}\times 180°}{\pi}= 30°$$
Example 2
Convert \(\frac{\pi}{4}\) radians to degrees. $$\alpha_{degrees} = \frac{\frac{\pi}{4}\times 180°}{\pi}=45°$$
